Dear colleagues,UNFCCC is in the process of development of its HR Strategy. Although we do understand that strategy is specific to the organization, its mandate and many other factors, we would like to have a look what other international organizations were doing in this area. Any help would be appreciated - from sending us your HR strategy to providing useful tips on any aspect of it.Thanks in advanceAlexandra See More

Dear Ms Gusarova,

I am working at the Directorate-General Human Resources and Security of the European Commission and my team has the task to propose ideas for the optimisation of the Commission's HR service delivery and structure. We are therefore looking for external benchmarks and good practices.

Having seen your profile on the AHRMIO's Community website, I would kindly ask you to share some information and insights on how the WHO has structured its Human Resources function and departments. For this purpose, it would be highly useful for us to receive the organisation chart of the HR department(s) and related functions. If you have any other information to share in terms of experience with (optimisation of) your HR model (for instance pitfalls or successes), this would be valued as well.

I hope you are the correct person to contact for the above request; if this is not the case, I would be grateful if you could re-direct me towards the right contact. Please do not hesitate to contact me for any clarifications; I will be happy to give you more detailed information.

I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,

Corinna GERST

Hi Alexandra,

Thank you for gettign in contact and please know that I would be happy to have a discussion with you about the pro-active recruitment / talent acquisition functions the IAEA has implimented.

You raise some nice questions about gender, internal and external candidates, and I also add into the mix that geographiocal diversity and member state representation has been some of the focus points the introduction of the talent acquisition function has improved upon.  The implimentation of this into a large international organsiation has been a rewarding challenge and i am happy to share my experiences.

I would be happy to discuss this with you.  My contact details are as follows:
