Talk with Prof. Dutta of INSEAD on his latest book “Throwing Sheep in the Boardroom”, Geneva, 23 March 2009
We are pleased to announce and invite you to an event that AHRMIO and the University of Geneva IOMBA programme are sponsoring on 23 March.   Professor Soumitra Dutta, INSEAD’s Dean of External Relations and Roland Berger Professor of Business and Technology, will be talking about his latest book Throwing Sheep in the Boardroom, co-authored with Dr Matthew Fraser.

Throwing Sheep in the Boardroom explores the powerful forces driving the social networking revolution, the impact of these profound changes, and the far reaching consequences of social networking, especially on individuals, organizations - the world of work - and societies as a whole.

Professor Dutta points out that “the generation entering the workforce today is fully engaged with social networking and its uses.   Rather than feeling threatened and paranoid, today's leaders need to understand this phenomenon, accept that it won't go away, and embrace its power in advancing the missions of organizations.    Social networking also has important implications for the management of an organization’s brand and reputation and provides an important channel for communicating with internal and external stakeholders.”

The event will take place on Monday, 23 March 2009 from 11.30 to 12.30, following which     sandwiches and soft drinks will be generously offered by IOMBA.     The address is shown below:

This workshop will be held in Tunis

Facilitated by Professor Chris Brewster of Henley Management College, UK and Dr Paul Boselie of the University of Tilburg, The Netherlands, the HR Specialists Training Programme is a core part of AHRMIO’s development activities.   While all HR professionals will enjoy the programme, it is primarily intended for mid-level specialists who have entered the function relatively recently, rather than those who have been in the HR service for many years.   It will also benefit HR generalists who would like to upgrade their knowledge of recent HR trends.

Since numbers are limited and this popular programme is frequently over-subscribed, early registration is strongly recommended.

The price per participant is €1,300.-, with 10% discount for AHRMIO Founder Members (individual and those nominated by a founder organization).
